TYPES OF APPOINTMENT AVAILABLE
ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS - these may be booked 48 hours in advance.
URGENT APPOINTMENTS - these are for medical problems which need URGENT attention and cannot wait until the next
available routine appointment. Patients requiring such appointments will be seen on the same day at 'sit and wait'
sessions at both 11.00am and 5.30pm.
PRE-BOOKED APPOINTMENTS - a percentage of appointments may be booked for one week in advance. The slots for such
appointments are: 8.00 to 8.50am and 3.00 to 3.20pm.
NURSE APPOINTMENTS - General clinics - these may be booked at any time, subject to availability.
NURSE APPOINTMENTS - Chronic disease clinics (Respiratory, Chronic Heart Disease and
Diabetes, Smoking Cessation) - appointments may be booked at any time, subject to availability.
CHILD IMMUNISATION CLINICS - these are held every Friday morning from 9.00am to 12 noon. There are a few
appointments available within the nurse general clinic each day. Appointments may be booked at any time.
TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS - if you require a telephone consultation with the GP please advise reception who will book
a time for the GP to ring you back.
HOUSE CALLS - if you require a house call please try to contact the surgery BEFORE 10.00am. It is usual for the GP
to telephone you, prior to any visit, to discuss your needs.
ACCESS TO THE HEALTH CENTRE
The centre has access for wheelchairs and has facilities for the disabled. There is a limited parking
facility at the front of the building for disabled drivers and those depositing
or collecting infirm or elderly patients.
